What is a Slimpod?

Slimpods are a series of unique voice recordings which help people to achieve effective weight loss, whether you want to lose 5lbs or 5 stones. Unlike other methods of losing weight, there are no diets, no calorie counting and no willpower required. Slimpods have been developed by Harley Street experts and use modern approaches to the science of unconscious persuasion to gently retune the mind and adjust the way slimmers think about the world, especially in relation to food, health and fitness. Weight loss becomes simple and effortless. Basic Slimpods cost £24.99 + VAT = £29.99. That's it, nothing more to pay.

Uniquely, our weight loss club membership is FREE.

Is a Slimpod harmful?

Not at all. Slimpods have been used, studied and endorsed by Mr Gideon Felton, MRCPsych, a consultant psychiatrist at one of London's leading hospitals. He says: "I have found the benefits of the Slimpod to be profound and positively life-changing." Read his report >>   However, if you're pregnant or suffer from epilepsy, clinical depression or a nervous psychiatric condition you should consult your doctor first. You should never listen while driving or doing something which requires concentration.

Do Slimpods use hypnosis?

If your idea of hypnosis is someone being put into a trance, losing control and being told what to do, then this is not hypnosis.  There are rules our unconscious mind uses to make choices and advertisers use them all the time to influence you. The words in a Slimpod use them too, to prime your mind to make better food and lifestyle choices - but those choices are your own. Using a Slimpod is like listening to a friend who has the uncanny ability to influence the way you feel about yourself and how you look after your body. So our approach is very different to hypnosis even though the effects can be every bit as powerful.

Why are there so many different Slimpods?

People have different reasons for losing weight, so each Slimpod has been tailor-made to help achieve a specific weight loss goal, whether it’s dropping a dress size, dropping two sizes or more, fitting into a wedding dress, losing baby fat or controlling middle age spread. We also have a Slimpod for men who want to lose their love handles and FitPods which make you want to exercise more, such as the Couch Potato Cure. The WordWeaving language we use in each Slimpod or FitPod has been crafted to achieve the desired results so it will not work on someone who has a different slimming outcome in mind.

What do I have to do to lose weight?

A Slimpod can be downloaded from the Thinking Slimmer website as an MP3 file or bought from us on a CD. At first you listen to the recording for 10 minutes a day for 21 days in a row while the Slimpod BEGINS to work with your mind and cause the changes in your mind that you’ll soon begin to notice in your body. Then you keep listening to the Slimpod for as often and as long as it takes to reach your goal. Many people listen when they go to bed and fall asleep listening – which is good, as the ears never sleep. However, we find that people are equally successful if they listen to their Slimpod during the day.  Everyone is different and what's important is what works best for you. It's not a race, though: It has taken years for the weight to go on so it's not going to fall off overnight, is it? Be patient and let the Slimpod do its work for you.

In the first few weeks, you may not see your weight changing as much as you expect and that's a good thing. Here's why: Slimpods are designed to help you forget about getting on the scales all the time. We create Slimpods to achieve goals, like dropping two dress sizes or one jeans size, not to achieve specific targets such as "lose a stone." Many people notice their clothes loosen and their shape change and recognise these as signs the Slimpod is starting to work. Please be patient: doing this properly takes time and you want it to work effectively, don't you!

How often do I keep listening to my Slimpod?

You keep listening for as long and as often as it takes until you feel confident you're well on the way to achieving your inch loss goal. How long this takes depends on how much you want to lose and whether your goal is to drop one size or two sizes or more. After the first month or two, some people keep listening every day or night while others find that “topping up” twice a week is enough – everyone is different. Just keep on going until you hit your slimming goal, however long it takes. If you want to lose a lot of weight it might even take you six months.

Important point to remember: If you increase your exercise level significantly you'll build up lean muscle which weighs more than fat. So even though you're burning off fat and your clothes fit a whole lot better, those silly scales may show your body weight has hardly changed. But you will know from how much better you look and feel that the Slimpod is working. So keep going with it!

If you have received a second Slimpod as a bonus - such as Keep Weight Loss Going or Keep Weight Off For Good - don't be in too much of a hurry to move on to it unless you are 100 per cent confident that the first Slimpod has completed its task. If you do move on to the next Slimpod and you feel it's not doing what you expect, please go back to your original Slimpod for another week or two. Don't be afraid to email us for advice.

Sometimes it helps to move gradually on to a new Slimpod, say using it every other day for a few weeks, before making a permanent switch.

SLIMPODDER ALISON CONFIRMS JUST HOW EASY IT IS

Will I lose weight straight away?

Everyone wants to lose weight quickly but it’s not a race. What we want people to achieve is permanent weight loss. Some of our slimmers start to lose weight almost immediately, while others take several weeks to start the process. Our experience is that the more weight people have to lose the quicker it comes off in the early stages  but it is a gradual process. What people probably WILL notice early on is a series of surprising differences in how much less they want to eat and how much more they want to do.

How does this differ from other weight loss methods?

Thinking Slimmer is a 100 per cent natural way of losing weight but is unlike any diet like WeightWatchers, Slimming World or Lighterlife. For a start there’s no calorie-counting, no pills, no shakes, no willpower and no worry. The biggest difference is that our weight loss can be permanent when done properly. No diet can honestly say that. In fact, a WeightWatchers representative gave evidence to a committee of MPs and admitted: "People have to get over the idea that you just diet once and that is it. It is a life-long commitment." In other words, diets just make your weight yo-yo and you have to keep going back to pay the diet club more money. A great example of how Thinking Slimmer enables so many people to keep the weight off for good is Jo Hallam, who started our method in July 2010. She lost 26lbs in a matter of of weeks, stopped using the Slimpod at Christmas and by September 2011 had not put back on any weight. You can see her video testimonial below.

Slimpods have been developed by our Harley Street experts and use modern approaches to the science of unconscious persuasion to gently retune the mind and adjust the way slimmers think about the world, especially in relation to food, health and fitness. In the language used for the Slimpods we avoid any notion of a diet, instead we nudge your unconscious towards making better eating choices - let's face it, we all know what they are. Slimpods don't tell you what to eat or what not to eat but guide your mind to help it create its own solutions.

Slimpods have been used, studied and endorsed by Mr Gideon Felton, MRCPsych, a consultant psychiatrist at one of London's leading hospitals. He says: “I have found the effects of the Slimpod to be profound and positively life-changing.”

HOW A SLIMPOD CURED JO'S ADDICTION TO COCA-COLA

Unable to display content. Adobe Flash is required.

Why do I need to keep a success log while I'm slimming?

You'll find your success log in your personal handbook. It’s vital that you write down each day the positive differences you notice in your behaviour and the way you feel because some of the changes can happen without you even knowing it and it’s only by making yourself think and write things down that some of the differences will occur to you.

By writing the changes down each day you bring them to the attention of your subconcious and you're constantly reminding it that it is taking the right steps to help you achieve your goals.

Your Slimpod is slowly helping you to create a positive view of the world (we call it your positive reality tunnel) and every time you write down the good things that are happening to you your brain is creating positive expectancy.

What’s that? Well, to put it simply: What you think about is what you get in life.

We tend to be what we pay most attention to. So if you pay attention to the positive things that are happening to you you’ll get more of them. If you focus on what stays the same, you’ll stay the same.

Slimming is about believing, not depriving yourself on a diet. Here's a sample taken from a real-life success log:

Do Amazon sell Slimpods cheaper?

Don't be confused by an advert like this which comes up when you Google the words Thinking Slimmer.

On Amazon our CDs cost £29.99 (£24.99 + £5 VAT) the same price as on our site, not £8.99 as you might think from reading the advert. Customers who buy on Amazon don't automatically get the membership benefits that are available for customers who buy direct from us. And if you buy a used Slimpod from Amazon or eBay, you are not eligible for any benefits at all.
